Description: Designed to be a summer cabin, this four bedroom home is large enough for family retreats at the lake. The main level's open floor plan gives a spacious feeling to the connected living room, kitchen & dining room. Large windows on the west walls of the cabin maximize the beautiful view of Island Lake from all the most important rooms. There's a large 9x9' laundry off the entryway, full bath, bedroom with a walk-in closet and a sun room accessed by a 12' wide Marvin french door. The custom kitchen has a large island with bar stool seating and additonial pantry storage tucked under the stairs. A gas fireplace adds comfort to the living room and the ceiling is open to the loft area above. Upstairs are three more bedrooms and a full bath with clerestory windows to let in natural light and still have privacy. The roof is framed with parallel chord trusses resulting in a vaulted ceiling across the entire second floor and finished with tongue & groove pine for a more rustic cabin appeal.

Superior Remodel

Start Date: April 2011

Status: In Progress

Description: The renovation of this split-level home adds new dining space, a new kitchen and a sun room. A 12'x24' addition off the existing kitchen and dining room accommodates a walk-in pantry and formal dining room with tray ceiling and big windows to look out over the St. Louis Bay. The new larger kitchen will be all custom with cherry cabinetry and a lot of detail to meet our clients specific View More Project Photosneeds. While the majority of the work in this project takes place in the kitchen area, there is another 10'x10' 2-story addition for a sunroom and screen porch. The rec room brick fireplace will get a new gas fireplace insert and be refaced with a stone veneer and have custom entertainment center built-ins on each side. And the main bath is being completely redone to be more functional.

Mont du lac Lodge

Start Date: JULY 2011

Status: IN PROGRESS

Scheduled Completion: 2012

Description: The remarkable lodge/private residence, will sit on the top of Mont du lac ski hill in Superior Wisconsin, with a panaramic view! This year long project will include a private residence on one end and guest quarters on the other. Each part of the lodge is strategically designed for the breath taking view along with a "lodge" feel which includes large stone fireplaces and wood beams.

North Ridge Addition

Description: This 870 square foot addition above the garage and laundry room, enlarges this home into a full two story. The new space adds bedrooms, closets, and a common play area.

Two Harbors Cabin

Status: Finished

Description: Designed by Sala Architects, this small quaint cabin is located near Two Harbors Minnesota. An existing old building on the property was removed. This one bedroom (with an upper loft area) cabin "The Farm" was built in its place. The main floor includes a living room, a kitchen with total custom cabinetry, main bath, master bedroom and a large mudroom/laundry area. The open upper loft over looks the down stairs living area.
